We will be at the Food Fayre this weekend ~ July 9th Church Knowle Village Hall, 10am ~ 3pm.
There will be local exhibitors ranging from charcuterie and meats, chocolate, ice cream, cheese and other local products, with cooking demonstrations as well. It promises to be a really excellent day.

Nonsense Mary Portas helps to guide struggling retailers through troubled times. Mary tries to save a couple’s village convenience store in Corfe Castle, Dorset.

We are now taking orders for Christmas, including our very own tailor-made Gift Hampers. Each hamper can be individually made from a selection of products, including locally produced cheese, jams and chutneys, beer, wine and cider – plus many more yummy things.

We would like to say a Big Thank You to everybody for all your support and kind words ~ we knew ‘Mary Queen of Shops’ would have an effect on us and the shop, 
but we hadn’t foreseen just how much of a buzz it would create for the whole village ~ amazing.
Many thousands have come to Clealls and many have even had their cake signed by the wonderful Darling (Richard).
We are definitely thinking about bringing back the aprons, or some kind of official shop clothing ~ so stay tuned for more info soon.
We also hope to have an Online Shop up and running very soon, where you will definitely be able to order Richard’s Cake, plus lots of other yummy things.
A little taster from the Clealls episode of “Mary Queen of Shops”.
Chris and Juliet host a tasting event in their village shop. The locally sourced produce goes down well and Mary is won over by local cake maker Richard.
We have just found out that the new series of ‘Mary Queen of Shops‘ will start on the Monday 7th June 2010 (probably on BBC2).
The Clealls ‘before and after’ episode should be aired on the 14th, so watch out for it!
